I have same question......if for example as above someone changes to SAP....what should be done in terms of notification to USCIS..?

Do we just go ahead and join the new job / consulting firm and get a letter from them to match the O*NET code or description as above...?

if you don't inform in advance and incase your old employer inform them , who will get REF..... everthing seems unclear to me as far AC21 is concern...

any authentic document on AC21 releated to job change and promotion?

Why are we always in an approval seeking mode when it comes to U.S? This still shows that we didn�t come out of our slave mentality ever since independence. We are happy whenever something Indian gets recognized in US. We are also happy to associate ourselves with America and call our film industry as Bollywood, Kollywood, Tollywood etc..

Do Americans give a damn about Halloween celebrations in India? In fact they didn�t even know that an outside world exists until 9/11. They built a strong economy from its grass roots by believing in their self worth, there by becoming the greatest country in this world. America didn�t seek approval from any country throughout its history and this is what one need to learn from this country.

Most of us are here are 2nd and 3rd generation Indians since Independence and for God�s sake let�s stop this weakling attitude right now and not pass this on to our children. Feel good about you and your culture from your heart and don�t let anyone or anything to influence that.

Thanks PCS. I am not sure congressman office staff will be familiar with USCIS, 485 and such things. That is why i am wonder whats the best way to approach or phrase my question so that they wont be confused but can get their attention.

I plan to book an appointment and drive there ... i guess i can do that right.

If there are more than 61,000 with PD > 2006 then it will not help much.

Could you please explay why is that? What if there are nurses with PD 2002, 03, 04 or 05

I applied without medicals for myself, my wife and my son. I got everything except AP. Did the FP one week back.


I applied without the medical for my wife, my son and me and I already received my receipts and EAD almost one month ago. My wife and my AP show an LUD yesterday and today but still pending but my son didn't show anything. USCIS received my application on August 14.

I hope this can help.

If everybody writes one letter per week to President O. and mail it using postal mail, soon their would be a buzz. We need that buzz now.

It will cost us $.44 each to mail letter and as these letters continue to pour in (obviously re-directed to waste bin), the word about all this will leak to media and ultimately to Mr. O.

Since your PD is not current so there is almost no chance they will pick your application randomly to process. The out of turn processing you are refering is say todat EB2- I date is Apr 2004 and so there is every chance that a guy with Jan 04 might get his GC before a guy with Nov 03 date but I am absolutely sure they will not process a guy with Aug 05 date since it is not within processing date. So in your case wait and watch the dates moving in case the processing dates get to your PD then you can make the choice of either withdrawing or proceeding with your application. Best is consult a lawyer to be absolutely sure.

There is no point in moving the PD if they cannot process the PD's who are current. This is what is happenning now in USCIS. I would rather they move it by small amounts and process those who are current than give false hope to people!

Hi,
I have my AP approved and H1B approved until 2010 but have an expired H1B Visa and I plan to extend my H1B visa some time next year.


I am planning on some business trips and would like to re-enter US multiple times using my Advance parole. Any issues with this?

Once I re enter using AP, can I go back to India and apply for H1B visa extension based on the approved H1B.


Appreciate your responses on this.

Multiple entry AP allow you to enter many times. You will get 3 copies, of which 1 will be retained by the Airlines, 2nd at the POE, 3rd after stamping back to you by the Officer. You can use the 3rd one for the subsequent trips and do not hand it over to anyone. (Request the Airlines and Officer to take copies of it, if they want).

If you have time and money during your trip back home, you may get your H1 visa stamp, but it is not necessary.

Hey Tiger ,

are you transferring your H1B to consulting to consulting firm ,or consulting to direct company?
Because there have been lots of REFs and denials in case of transferring to consultancy lately, and they highly doubt about projects availability and they use any of these excuses like past w2 to deny it ...

My 485 interview (employment based) has been scheduled in San Jose, CA for Oct,29th.
Interview letter says bring following documents:

All Passports, all documents that submitted during 485, current employment letter, W2s , marriage certificate, insurance policies, rental agreements etc�.

I have few questions on this:

1.My wife interview is at 7:45AM and mine is 8:15AM. Does it mean we have to go
separate or can we go at the same time?
2. Do I need to carry employer tax returns also?
3. Do I need to carry affidavit of support for my wife?
4. Are there any documents that I need to carry apart from mentioned in the above list?

Also if you have attended interview in San Jose field office, please share your experience.
