Hi all,
Few days ago I purchased a new D-100 in Hong Kong. After taking the first few shots, I encountered a problem. When pressing the shutter it seems that the shutter is opening but stays open and woun't close. An "Error" notice appear and only after several times of pressing the shutter button it sounds like it is closing. After such few times, I pressed it again - trying to get a photo, the shutter opened up and didn't close. The "Error" notice is up again and now nothing seems to help, not even shutting the camera.
Please please advice. :(

Hi,
Have a query in regard to the H1B Visa status. Would it be ok to work for a different branch of the same company, when my unit is not able to provide me with the required number of hours/week. I work for a hospital as a physcial therapist, and am having trouble maintaining the full time hrs, Other units of the same hospital are desperately in need of the therapists.(But working for them would be under different tax id and also would be a seperate pay check, but the same hospital though).
Any answers would be highly appreciated.

My spouse is working on H1-B in Los Angeles. His company acquired another company in Bay Area, so now he wants to work out of Bay Area, from this acquired company's office.
1. Does he need to file a transfer memorandum ?
2. WIll there be a change in wages ?
3. Are there any other steps before he starts to work in BayArea ?

No Bro. I told them when i came to US in 2000 the salary was 1/20 or 1/25 of what I can make in US. So US was an attractive option. Now the salaries in India are close to 10 lacs per annum, it turns out to be 1/4 or 1/5 of what i make here. With less taxes, less cost of living and facilities in india good enough i guess i live a happier life in India than here.
SO i was presenting him my point that moving back to India may turn out to be a wonderful decision than getting stuck here. If every highly qualified immigrant take this decision and leave, US will be at loss. I did manage to convince him that losing us is a bad thing for US economy. That is how he managed to portray my story in a good way.

On a different note, how safe it is to go for Visa stamping in Canada. My visa stamp in passport expired last year, my H1B is valid untill end of 2007. Will it be ok to go to canada for visa stamping at this stage. Please let me know if anybody has any good/bad experiences with this process.

Thanks for replying. Were the I-140s EB2 or EB3? Coz i have seen a LOT of EB2s taking significantly more time than Eb3.
For eg. I filed for labour in Jan and it already got approved thru PERM coz it was EB3. a couple of my friends have filed in EB2 aand have waited significantly longer.

Last week i received a RFE against my I485 application. My PD is not current yet. I''m kind of confused about the RFE. I need some help from you guys...

Now let me explain my situation.
I had my first H1b from compnay B, for three years (oct 2002 to oct 2005). Then I started my renewed my H1b under another company C. (oct/2005 to oct 2008). Then i received my PERM labor from another company A (the company they USCIS mentioned in their RFE). Both the company C and compnay A was owned by one person. So even i was working with the company C, my payroll was under Company A. Right after I received my labor certificate from Compnay A, my lawyer suggested my transfer my H1b from Compnay C to company A. Then i received my h1b approval for compnay A in Jan 2007 to october 2008. In 0ctober 2008 i renewed my h1b from compnay A again for one year. But in november compnay A terminted me and withdraw my H1b. I got a new job and moved to a new compnay in december 2008. Everything is normal after that until i received the RFE. I have to get back to USCIS in by the end of this month with the evidence. I has the legal status all the time i worked for all those companies.
PLease let me know what you guys think about the whole situation.

Maybe you can give me my answer. I imported a file from Swift 3D, published, F12 to view, and then went control enter to view the size. After almost choking when I saw the size it added to my SWF (255K for a 7 letter word, spinning) I decided immediatley that was intolerable to my movie size requirements, and deleted the entire Swift 3D animation from my Movie. Took it out of the frames, the library, every place imaginable. And I was floored to find what it did to my Fla. It ruined it. My Fla went from 605K to 8.9 MEG. For all the various purposes of how I use an Fla, it is ruined. The ghost of that Swift 3D stays with my Fla even today. Like a cancer, cannot get rid of it. Can you tell me how to get it out so I can restore my Fla?

If you look closely its for the I-484 stage. I have also been told that the first stage has to be apporved. So the first I-140 has to be approved (earlier priority date). The word 'subsequent' is throwing the confusion around.
I think this is not fair since lot of people have their earlier petition being approved after their second petitions (due to perm and premium I-140).

My lawyer filed my Labor certification stating that the job requires 'BS degree in CS'. My labor got approved last month.
I hold a MS degree in CS and BS degree in Industrial Engg.
Now while I am about to file for I-140, I am getting information from various sources that my bachelor's degree has to be in CS, irrespective of holding a master's degree in CS.
Has anyone faced similar situation? How can I resolve this issue?
Please help as I almost spent 4 years in LC backlog queue!!!!!!!!

As per immigration-law.com..Senate may work on CIR in March 07 and hand it over to House by APril 07....House may however sit on it for years on end...

Leahy, reportedly set the CIR as one of the top agenda of the Judiciary Committee for March 2007 and the Democratic leaders reportedly determined to pass the CIR by April 2007 and quickly send it over to the House for its prompt action. I dont mean to offend you but ability to file I-485 when the numbers have retrogressed is all it take to alleviate a majority of our problems, that is in the agenda and SKIL bill currently in house and approved by senate in CIR.
So if SKIL bill gets passed we should be fine, but when is a big question ???
